Visiting Professor of Religious Studies - Asian intellectual and cultural history, literature, and philosophy
Dr. Dominic Sur is Visiting Assistant Professor of Buddhism at Utah State University. His first book, Entering the Way of the Great Vehicle: Dzokchen as the Culmination of the Mahāyāna, is available January, 2017, and published by Shambhala Publications. At present, Dr. Sur is at work on a second book which studies the rise of scholastic philosophical discourse and sectarian identity in eleventh century Tibet.
Research Interests: Asian intellectual and cultural history, literature, and philosophy.
Teaching Interests: Asian religions, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Bön.
