Associate Professor - Herodotus, Greek intellectual history, Catullus, classical reception
Dr. Susan O. Shapiro is Associate Professor of History and Classics at Utah State University. She is also the editor of Mediterranean Studies, a peer-reviewed journal that focuses on Mediterranean history and culture from antiquity to the present. She has published articles on Herodotus, Greek intellectual history, Pasolini's Medea, and Catullus' poetry, as well as a student edition of Cicero's Catilinarian Orations. Her current project is a book-length monograph on the role of advice in Herodotus' Histories.

Teaching Interests: All levels of Greek and Latin, Greek and Roman history through film, Classical mythology, Greek intellectual history, Latin pedagogy.
