Do you have an excellent history paper that you’d like to present at a national conference for undergraduate and graduate students of History? USU’s History Honors Society, Phi Alpha Theta, invites students to submit abstracts to present at the 2018 Phi Alpha Theta Biennial Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana. This is the perfect opportunity for those interested in sharing their research with other History students. USU Phi Alpha Theta will select 2 to 3 people to present their papers at the biennial meeting. The History Department will sponsor these students’ travel and accommodations to present in New Orleans from January 3 to 6, 2018. To be considered, please submit a 200-word abstract of your paper to Dr. Julia Gossard (Julia.Gossard@usu.edu) by October 16, 2017.
The abstract should include your:
- Paper Title
- Brief overview of your paper’s thesis and content (no more than 200 words, please)
- When you completed/hope to complete the paper
- Contact information
To submit an abstract for consideration, you do not need to be a member of Phi Alpha Theta. In order to present at the conference, however, you will need to be a member of the History Honors Society.
