Dr. Dominic Sur is an Assistant Professor of Buddhism at Utah State University. His first book, Entering the Way of the Great Vehicle: Dzokchen as the Culmination of the Mahāyāna, is available January, 2017, and published by Shambhala Publications. At present, Dr. Sur is at work on a second book which studies the rise of scholastic philosophical discourse and sectarian identity in eleventh century Tibet.


Research Interests: Asian intellectual and cultural history, literature, and philosophy.


Teaching Interests: Asian religions, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Bön.
